ABOUT SNUGGLES
Since 2008 -A place for children to play, learn and grow
Our experienced, friendly staff team provide a safe, stimulating learning environment for children aged 2 to 5 years.
We are open daily, term time, 9am till 4pm.
You can access 2 and 3 year old funded places with us, we also have a limited number of 30 hour funded places available.
ACTIVITIES
COOKING
Our weekly cooking sessions enable the children to experience measuring and weighing ingredients and learn about healthy eating.
PHONICS SESSION
Our daily focused phonics sessions teach children letters and sounds in preparation for reading. They also develop pencil control and letter formation skills needed for writing.
Outside Play
Our outside environment has a play surface area for climbing and physical activities and also a grassed area for more focused play.
OUR ETHOS AT SNUGGLES
We provide a nurturing, homely environment that encourages and supports both children and their parents. Children develop confidence, self esteem and good strategies to express their feelings appropriately and support good mental health.
Children are safeguarded in our friendly stimulating environment that encourages children to take risks, problem solve and become resilient.
All children are valued and treated equally, encouraged to develop positive relationships helping them achieve in their own unique way.
Our child lead approach enables children to develop key skills appropriate to their stage of development. Children follow rules and boundaries and take turns.
Outdoor learning and healthy lifestyles are promoted and children are encouraged to become inquisitive learners about the world around them.
Maths, literacy and phonic knowledge are promoted across all areas of our provision enabling children to develop key skills in these areas.
Creativity is promoted through singing, dancing, imaginative play and artistic activities.
From language and literacy development to social skills and creative expression, the children at Snuggles Pre-School are constantly being exposed to new activities and environments in which to thrive. OUR VISION FOR EVERY CHILD
We aim for all children to become confident, independent, inquisitive, school ready individuals. We would like them to be able to turn take, understand and follow rules and boundaries, respect each others similarities, differences, faiths and beliefs and be kind.
We would like them to have developed key learning skills, such as good concentration, communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships as they move forward in their learning journey.
We give them strategies for good mental health and the ability to express themselves appropriately. We would like every child to celebrate themselves for the amazing unique individual they are and feel valued and heard.
